Alpharetta roofing companies: what to expect from us

Start with the Georgia rule
Georgia has no roofing license. The State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors issues residential and general contractor licenses, and roofing is written out of that law as an exempt specialty trade. So a roofer who shows you a "Georgia roofing license number" is showing you something that does not exist, and the best roofers in Alpharetta will tell you that plainly.
What the state does let you check:
- Secretary of State registration. Search the business name at sos.ga.gov. No entry, or one registered last month in another state, is a bad sign after a storm.

- Manufacturer certification. GAF, Owens Corning and CertainTeed only extend their long warranties through installers they have certified.

Then how the company works
Roof and attic first, price second. A satellite measurement from the driveway does not see rotten decking, a blocked soffit, or the water trail on the underside of the sheathing. We do, before the number is written down.
